Menno Bosgra

Menno Bosgra composes since 1996 for percussion ensemble and from 2004 also for Concertband, Fanfare and Brassband. Around 1996, he started arranging for percussion ensemble, mostly in cooperation with his colleague Roel Jan Jongsma.

Attending private lessons in composing given by the Belgian composer Jan Van der Roost, as well as further exploring the secrets of counterpoint under his supervision, really stimulated Menno to continue and develop his composing ambitions. Thanks both to his motivating lessons and great knowledge, Menno was able to develop himself and this has brought him to where he is now as a composer.

Nowadays he arranges only on request; he composes when commissioned and of his own accord.
